The iFox iF012 shower speaker is a great option if you are looking for a simple, inexpensive model that sticks to your wall and produces clear sound.
The iFox iF012 Bluetooth Shower Speaker was purchased by us so that our expert reviewer could fully test it and evaluate it. Continue reading to see our complete product review.
The iFox iF012 Bluetooth Shower speaker is easy to use and you will know what you can expect from it the moment you see it. It delivers. The speaker's setup and operation is simple, with the control panel being easy to follow. It also has a long battery life. The suction cup can stick to flat surfaces and will stay there.
It has a good sound quality, although it does not produce the thumping bass that some might prefer, but this can be expected given its sub-$40 cost.

This Bluetooth speaker for showers looks like a large hockey puck with a suction cup attached. The speaker is sleek and shiny in black, so it will match any decor.
The simple control panel is only five buttons in length and takes just a few moments to master. It can be confusing to switch between songs or control the volume, as both are done with the same buttons. It's easy to forget that you only need to press the button once for skip and to lean (press and hold), to adjust volume.
It is important to note that the only control you have are for skipping tracks and changing volume. There aren't any voice controls to allow you to call Siri, or other virtual assistants.
You can also make phone calls with the iFox iF012. You can also use the speakerphone function if a call is made to you while you are in the bathroom. Simply press the button at the bottom of your control panel. This feature was tested by us. The person calling assumed that we were on the phone and could not hear any difference. It can only make outgoing calls.
You can place this speaker anywhere you want it to.
According to Bluetooth Core Specifications, the Bluetooth range for this device is only 33 feet. This is a great range for such a small device. This allows you to leave your smartphone outside while you're showering, and you can also pair it with a Bluetooth-enabled device in another room.
iFox Creations makes it a point to ensure that you are aware of the fact that this device is waterproof. This was tested by placing it in water to test it and keeping it there for 3 minutes. After this, it worked perfectly.
This speaker attaches to any smooth, flat surface, including shower walls, windows and end tables. Once you put it up, you tend to forget about the suction cup—we had our test unit attached to a shower wall for three days and it never moved, slid, or fell off. You can be sure that this speaker will stay where you place it.
The iFox Creations website states that the shower speaker's battery can last for eight hours. This is a decent amount, however, it was not what we had when we tried ours. When we got our iFox iF012, it had a half-charged battery. It played music for three hours before it died. It was charged overnight and then allowed to run for 22 hours until it died.
We were impressed by the fact that it connects automatically to any device it has been paired with when it is powered on. You don't need to repair it each day if you like to hear music from your same device while you bathe. If you have music already on your device, the speaker will play the song automatically when you push the power button. You can opt out of this by unplugging your speaker from your phone.
Don't expect any booming bass or stereo sound—it's just too small to be that powerful.
A second benefit is the ability to plug headphones into a paired device. The speaker will disconnect and allow the headphones to take control.
You can use the USB cable included with your speaker to charge it. The speaker does not include a wall adapter. While this is not an issue, it might be worth noting in case you do not have any spare USB adapters.

The Bluetooth speaker can be set up in just five minutes. The majority of the time spent on this task is to read through the manual. Simply stick the device to the wall and pair your phone with it. Bluetooth pairing can be confusing for some people, however, the process is very simple.
It took approximately four seconds for the device to pair with our iPhone. It's detectable by the name "My Speaker F012" when it is powered on but not connected to any other device.

As expected for this device, the sound quality was excellent. The vocals sound clear, true to the recorded audio. You can also hear every detail in the songs. You can set the volume to make background music less loud or to hear your singing to favorite songs.
But don't be surprised if it doesn't sound like a stereo or booming bass. This is just too tiny to sound that strong.
Volume is a technical fact to remember. Volume settings on your speaker's device will affect the volume level. You can adjust the volume on the phone to increase the sound volume if the volume is not being achieved.
You can purchase the iFox iF012 Bluetooth Shower speaker for $29.99. This is a reasonable price considering what you get from the device. Buy two if you find the price lower.
The iFox iF012 was tested side-by-side alongside the Polk BOOM Swimmer Duo. Although the Polk is $59.99, it generally retails at the same cost as the iFox.
You can do a few more things with the Swimmer Duo—it has more bass response and allows you to physically connect other devices to it via an AUX jack. Only Bluetooth is used to connect the iFox.
The biggest difference is their intended purpose. The iFox iF012 shower speaker is by design. Although the Swimmer Duo is intended to be used in the bath, it can also be carried around with you. It seems wasteful to leave it in the bath tub all day.
The Swimmer Duo is the best choice if you want portability and powerful. The iFox is the best choice if you are looking for a speaker in your shower.
The iFox iF012 is a great product. It's difficult to find anything wrong. The iFox iF012 is a great choice for those who want to enjoy high-quality sound and a long battery life. We have one minor complaint about it: the absence of control buttons that allow for volume or track skipping.
